FTAAAD Annual Events and Activities
Information on Our Most Popular Events
FTAAAD's annual events have become incredibly popular across the District. Whether it's the Annual Conference on Aging, the Senior Brain Games, Senior Olympics, or any of the other annual events, there is something for everyone.

Dates for all of these events will be posted on the Calendar located on the home page. For more information on any of these events, contact Teresa Sutphin at 423-928-0224.

FTAAAD ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON AGING (MAY)
This annual one-day educational conference is held in late April in conjunction with Older Americans Month. Open to aging-industry professionals, students, caregivers, and other interested community members, the Conference on Aging features Continuing Education credits and a large Silent Auction.
SENIOR BRAIN GAMES
These team-based trivia contests are held at local senior centers throughout the year. Teams generally consist of four members. These competitions are always participant and audience favorites! Contact your local senior center to find out if they hold Brain Games competitions.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH–PRESENTATIONS
FTAAAD staff are always available to give community presentations about specific programs or services, or about more general topics. If you are interested in hosting an educational presentation, contact us.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH–INFORMATIONAL BOOTHS
Hosting booths at local and regional events is one of the best ways for FTAAAD to get the word out about our programs and services. Staff members are well-supplied with informational materials on many programs, and have plenty of time to speak with anyone looking for resources. Look for the FTAAAD booth at health fairs, VA events, festivals and fairs, senior expos, and many other events.
BE A SANTA TO A SENIOR (DECEMBER)
One of the best parts of the holiday season is wrapping gifts that will be delivered to older adults without much hope of receiving Christmas presents otherwise. Gifts are purchased and donated by different community organizations, wrapped by FTAAAD staff, and delivered by a local home health agency.
ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE/DEMENTIA AWARENESS
FTAAAD partners with Alzheimers Tennessee and the Alzheimers Association for frequent educational events and fundraising opportunities.
